When Opportunity Knocks

By

What do we do when opportunity knocks? Henry Ford famously said, "If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said they want faster horses." At times we get ahead of ourselves a little bit and want to develop faster horses instead of developing a new form of transportation. We can never be afraid to seek out opportunity when the opportunity is right in front of us. We never know it may be somewhere we have not looked or perhaps hiding in plain sight.

Does Henry Ford's quote relate to an opportunity knocking for you?

Recently I read an article in the Harvard Business Review https://hbr.org/2016/02/when-o... that struck a chord. A question in the article caused me to reflect on what is best done when opportunity resides along the edges. When you look at the horizon, are you sure when the sea ends and the sky begins? The optimist in me believes that opportunity knocks around every corner. Never stop seeking out opportunity. Hunt for those edges that might be right in front of you. Be a tiger hungry for the next best way of doing something. In doing so, provide an experience that will far exceed your own expectations.
